HI, I’M JAMIE
It started with Christmas gifts—and requests for more.
I’ve always loved my “smell goods.” After buying more wax melts than I probably needed, I decided to try making my own.
With a small Christmas budget, I thought handmade wax melts would be a thoughtful way to give something special to the people I love. Then people kept coming back throughout the year asking for more!
My youngest son was my biggest fan—and probably my most frequent requester. He told me my melts were the best and that I should sell them. So, with a little encouragement, Jamie’s Tropical Boutique began.
I love pouring wax and dreaming up new scents. Whether this grows into something big or stays a small labor of love, I’ll keep making fragrances for myself and the people I care about. I hope you find something here to love, too.

A FEW HELPFUL DETAILS
Shipping, custom orders & care.
When will my order ship?
Most small orders are usually ready to ship within 2–3 days, including many orders poured just for you. Jamie will confirm the expected turnaround with your quote. This is preparation time; carrier delivery time is additional.
If I cannot meet the agreed shipping date, I’ll contact you with an updated estimate and offer the choice of accepting the delay or canceling for a refund of the unshipped order.
Can I request a custom scent or order?
Yes—custom requests are welcome when possible! Email Jamie with your idea to discuss what can be made. Custom orders take longer, especially if additional fragrances need to be ordered.
New fragrances usually take about a week to arrive. That is supply delivery time, not the total turnaround for your custom order. Jamie will confirm pricing and an estimated completion time before you commit.
How much does shipping cost?
I don’t like paying high shipping costs either, so I look for an economical option for your order. I currently buy shipping labels through Pirate Ship and quote shipping separately based on your order and destination.
You’ll see the shipping charge in your quote before paying. The delivery carrier and timing depend on the service selected.
Candles and wax melts are not edible. Do not eat. Keep products out of reach of children and pets, including when they are not in use.
Candle care
- Keep a burning candle in sight; extinguish it before leaving the room or going to sleep.
- Place it on a stable, heat-resistant surface, away from drafts and anything that could catch fire.
- Keep the wax free of matches, wick trimmings, and other debris.
- Follow the care label for your candle’s wick and burn instructions. Allow the wax and container to cool before handling.

Wax melt care
- Remove packaging before use. Use a warmer designed for wax melts and follow its manufacturer’s instructions.
- Do not light a wax melt directly or add water to the wax.
- Avoid overfilling the warmer. Keep hot wax away from skin and allow it to cool before handling or removing it.
- Keep the warmer away from children and pets, and never leave it unattended while in use.

Returns, cancellations & order problems.
Each order is made with care. If something isn’t right, please contact Jamie with your order number and a description of the issue.
Returns on unused products
For standard, non-custom products, contact me within 14 days of delivery to request a return. Items must be unused, unburned, and in their original packaging.
For change-of-mind returns, the customer pays return shipping; original shipping charges aren’t refundable. Please contact me before sending anything back.
Scent preferences
Fragrance is personal. Used candles and melted wax cannot be returned simply because the scent isn’t your preference. If you’re unsure, ask about samples before ordering.
Refunds
Approved refunds go back to the original payment method. This policy does not limit rights provided by applicable law.
Damaged, defective, or incorrect items
Please contact me promptly—ideally within 7 days of delivery—with photos of the item and packaging where possible. I’ll work with you on an appropriate replacement or refund and cover any necessary return shipping.
Please don’t mail broken glass.
Cancellations and custom orders
Standard orders may be canceled before shipping. Custom orders may be canceled before work begins or special supplies are ordered. After that, custom orders cannot be canceled or returned for a change of mind.
Damaged, defective, or incorrect custom items are still covered.
